Beebeekes Hospital Bag

At 3 weeks (or less, who knows) from the end of her stay in my belly, it was time to get beebeekes bag & things organised. (I will do a post on my bag later on). I must say - her bag turns out to be a pretty big deal - no light travel for this little lady.
This is her hospital & future diaper bag, pretty nice hè
She will have a choice of things to wear when she gets out
A nice nest in the Maxicosi to bring her home safely
And she will already have some friends to keep her company.

I have done some research on what to take to the hospital- and I think we over-packed - but at least it is done.
Tomorrow my last day working, and then I will put my feet up, get some last things done and wait for this little mermaid to come.
And yes, I am scared for what is to come.

More of me (to love)

More of me to love, that's true.
A whole lot of Lisa, by AC/DC on my mind
Anyway, some pregnancy outfits from the last months.

20 weeks
Week 23

 Week 25

Week 27

 Week 31

And this is now: at 33 weeks, where no clothes are comfortable any-more

Heels only for the show, and for the pictures. Don't be naive.

11 Thoughts @ 33 weeks

By Lisa
(Warning, if you don't wanna see a big belly, don't scroll down)
  1. My fingers start to look & feel like little sausages. Rings are becoming too small.
  2. Doing the 2 staircases to our bedroom feels like climbing the Mount Everest
  3. Baths never felt as good as now, although coming out of it is no party.
  4. I know what feeling 'hungry' feels like. All the time.
  5. While looking for flights for the summer, I now need to fill out: 2 adults - 1 baby
  6. Finding a comfortable position to sleep, that will suit me and the little miss is not easy.
  7. Discovering that even your maternity jeans is not very comfortable anymore, is no fun.
  8. Discovering that your man's wardrobe opens a lot of possibilities is fun.
  9. I think this little girl likes Lady gaga & Rage against the Machine, hmmm. I wonder what we will have to put on to make her sleep. Killing in the name of? I was born this way?
  10. I don't really like the thought that she is hanging upside down for the moment, especially because it means she is punching me in the ribs all the time.
  11. I think there is a colony of ants walking through my legs, at least that is how it feels: they call it 'restless legs'. I call it quite annoying.
Seven weeks to go, little bumble bee, don't be late, because we cannot wait & and your grandmothers want to know your name!

My 31 week baby bump

By Lisa

Beebeeke & me are really a good team. She reminds me when to eat, when to rest & when to sleep. I never get tired of feeling her moving around in my tummy, even when it sometimes feels like she is doing double backward flips. Every mummy tells me to cherish this 'only mummy & baby' time, but I am starting to understand what they mean. It is really special what we have going on here.

The 'one number' countdown has begun

Herbs and goodies

This weekend it was really spring time outside and in our hearts.
Our vegetable / herb / fruit garden has undergone a big expansion
The garden is starting to be ready for the summer

Strawberries
All different kinds of strawberries
All the kitchen herbs you can imagine
First Apero of the year on our terrace - with calamares carpaccio
Spanish Olives
And cherry tomatoes sweet as candy
For me an non-alcoholic alternative: Elderflower Lemonade
Dinner
Fresh sole 'Meunière' with potatoes 'persillé & garlic'
This morning breakfast on the terrace with berries and greek yoghurt
 And Lolo's famous omelet
Maybe I should make some muffins with the rest of the berries...
Full of energy here...

The Third Trimester

By Lisa

Beebeeke ( in case you start to wonder, no this is not gonna be her name) & I have finally reached the 3rd Trimester. 2/3rds of the way are behind us, 1/3rd  is still to go. I hope that this one is going to move fast, because I cannot wait to meet this little bumble bee. I already feel like I know her- I cannot even imagine things without her any more, and I haven't even seen her yet.
I have waited a long time for that 'mother feeling', but now I even get emotional just being in her room with all her little stuff, that have been chosen with great care and love by her daddy & myself.
Her room that is getting filled up with more and more cute things every day.
There is definitely something going on here what no one can understand - it's like a pact between beebeeke and me. We share one body, after all.
Hang in there, beebee! We can do it!
Little pink boots, just like mom. P i n k
Her first little clothes -  with on the right the first little dress she got from my parents. So beautiful and yes, pink
Bumble bees need lots of stuff
I'm becoming a softie, but I'm still c o o l, right? Hihi
