11 Thoughts @ 33 weeks

By Lisa
(Warning, if you don't wanna see a big belly, don't scroll down)
  1. My fingers start to look & feel like little sausages. Rings are becoming too small.
  2. Doing the 2 staircases to our bedroom feels like climbing the Mount Everest
  3. Baths never felt as good as now, although coming out of it is no party.
  4. I know what feeling 'hungry' feels like. All the time.
  5. While looking for flights for the summer, I now need to fill out: 2 adults - 1 baby
  6. Finding a comfortable position to sleep, that will suit me and the little miss is not easy.
  7. Discovering that even your maternity jeans is not very comfortable anymore, is no fun.
  8. Discovering that your man's wardrobe opens a lot of possibilities is fun.
  9. I think this little girl likes Lady gaga & Rage against the Machine, hmmm. I wonder what we will have to put on to make her sleep. Killing in the name of? I was born this way?
  10. I don't really like the thought that she is hanging upside down for the moment, especially because it means she is punching me in the ribs all the time.
  11. I think there is a colony of ants walking through my legs, at least that is how it feels: they call it 'restless legs'. I call it quite annoying.
Seven weeks to go, little bumble bee, don't be late, because we cannot wait & and your grandmothers want to know your name!

Lisa's Nesting DIY Projects

Sometimes I feel like getting 'fake' creative. I call it fake creative because I saw these things on my favorite pass-time things pinterest & etsy - I didn't invent these myself, unfortunately.
But at least I got the paint brush out and I found companies who helped me with the realisation.

I want to make this mobile for beebeekes room with butterflies in the colours we chose for her room.
I hope I can get it done in time: It should look a bit like this one
Source: http://crybabyink.blogspot.com/2009/07/etsy-butterfly-mobiles.html
But I am gonna make them with these ones

I also miss a hint of colour in our kitchen, so I thought it would be cool to have a 'eat' sign hanging there.
Because we are all about eating and cooking!
I saw this on Pinterest and decided to have it made, the only thing I still have to do is paint & hang it!
This is the one on Etsy
And this is ours
I had it made in a slightly more elegant handwriting

I also had one made for the white wall behind our veggie garden
'grow'

This is gonna be painted in olive green, like the beach chairs we bought for our garden.
Maybe it will inspire our little veggies to start growing faster and better!
Cool! I love DIY.

Sneak Preview of our beautiful nursery

I think that if I was in beebeeke's shoes, I would be very happy to get a room like that.
We chose for a colour pallet of green-pink-white-grey. As I don't want to show the whole room before she is born, I decided to treat my readers on a little sneak preview of what the room is going to look like.
Every time I pass the room on my way up, I take a little peek in there and a big smile appears on my face.
Since yesterday the room is completely finished, the only thing missing in it is our little baby now.

What do you think?

2-Year Anniversary @ Restaurant Luzine, Leuven

On April 3 we are 2-years happy together. I'm telling you, really happy together.
These have been the best 2 years ever. So much has happened and so much is still to happen.
We decided to treat ourselves to a very nice dinner @ Luzine in Leuven, the restaurant of Jeroen Meus. And it was fabulous, we were impressed by every course of the Signature menu.
It is also a very cool place with black walls and golden accents, that make it purrfect for an intimate tête-à-tête. We enjoyed every second of our evening together with some great food.
(It was not easy to find an outfit suitable for the occasion, but I did my best)

Some pictures of the Food (in bad quality since I didn't want to point the attention to us by doing crazy things with the camera) but you get the picture.

My 31 week baby bump

By Lisa

Beebeeke & me are really a good team. She reminds me when to eat, when to rest & when to sleep. I never get tired of feeling her moving around in my tummy, even when it sometimes feels like she is doing double backward flips. Every mummy tells me to cherish this 'only mummy & baby' time, but I am starting to understand what they mean. It is really special what we have going on here.
