Last Sunday the thermometer finally hit 20°C, so we decided to go see the blossoms blooming everywhere in the area. First we went for a drink at a pop up lounge in the middle of an apple orchard, we drank some of their bio apple juice, yum! Our cherry blossom girl loved running through the trees. After we went to the cherry blossom festival at the Japanese Garden in Hasselt. Ohanami is the traditional Japanese custom of enjoying the beauty of flowers. The cherry (sakura) blossoms were so beautiful in bloom and the garden itself is so calming and beautiful. Definitely a place I would visit more often if it was closer by. We had a good day enjoying the first warm sunshine of the year and taking in nature in spring - it really gives you energy and inspiration, especially in a setting like that.
