Stop for a minute

I really felt bad for Olivia this past week, being stuck in the house all the time while she was sick. Because this little girl likes to go out and explore the world. At least a few times a day she takes her push toy, goes to the front door and tries to turn the keys to go for a walk. So cute. But this week I had to disappoint her, because she was not well enough and it was really cold. One of the reasons why I am so happy that I work part-time is because I am able to give her the time she needs to stop for a minute and look at a flower or touch a tree (or a car, or a door, or a wall, or whatever comes on her way). Because in everyday life we are always running around for here to there, in and out of the car, in and out of the supermarket, and sometimes it is just nice to stop for a minute and realise that for this little girl, everything around her is new.
