Strasbourg is is the capital and principal city of the Alsace Region in eastern France and is the official seat of the European Parliament. We spent a nice, warm evening here, had Spatzlen- a local pasta dish & beer (I really wanted to eat that, because it reminds me of the trips with my parents to the Black Forest in Germany). I must say, it is a really cosy town, with nice bars and little squares, but you really think you are in Germany, not in France. And, it has a big Christmassy feel to it, I like!
The baby likes Mojitos and sleeping in hotels.
Random in Brussels
Wednesday, August 29, 2012
Last Saturday we went to Brussels, to hang around a bit and look at (too expensive) vintage & design furniture stores.
I have a weird relation with Brussels, sometimes I love it (because I studied there a few years and I got to know the good side of it) and sometimes I hate it (because there are always traffic jams when I come, I never find my way and I never find parking space)
But Saturday it was pretty nice. Here some random photos.De Beurs - La bourse

When you are at the ocean, just at the border of France and Spain, it is supercool to say: oh, let's pop over to the other side for some tapas!! And so we did. We went to eat at Hondarribia ("sand ford" in Basque), a little border town, which houses the San Sebastian Airport. It has only 3 streets, but that means: less tourists, more tapas for us!
With our tummies full with Spanish delights (and tinto de verano), we headed back to the French side for some tanning and boat fun for beebee (also known as 'Little Miss Sunshine').
