Vermont

We followed our route in New England into the state of Vermont, in search of covered bridges, more of real America and the forest back roads to end our journey for the day at a B&B in the Champlain Islands and as the cherry on the cake, a drive in movie night! That was so much fun! People still take their children to the movies in their pyjamas, the car packed with snacks, bug spray and blankets.
We loved our night out! ( Our kid was in her pyjamas too, but no way she was gonna sleep, she was too excited to be in the car and not to be in the car seat for a change)

Our stay in New Hampshire was a very happy one. We stayed in the Old Orchard Inn, a magnificent farm done up with so much taste & style. An Inn that I would be happy to manage any day of the week. Olivia immediately made friends with Lily, the daughter of the house. The area felt like 'real America' to us. We like it all a lot, the white mountains, the little villages, the food. It was perfect. We made a train trip in an old Pullman - first class through the Mount Washington Valley, very old fashioned and nice.
