Mr & Mrs Smith in London

We went to London this weekend, because it is becoming a tradition of ours, around our anniversary.
It turned out to be a very nice weekend, London is really a very interesting city.
My hubbie took me to the place where he has lived in London around Warwick Avenue (like in DUffy's song), a neighbourhood with very nice houses. We had breakfast in his favourite breakfast spot 'Raoul's'.

After this wonderful breakfast we went to check in at the hotel.
The St Ermis Hotel, close to St-James' Park, Big Ben and Buckingham Palace and the houses of Parliament.

A very comfortable hotelwith nice decoration.
After a quick stop at the hotel, we went to Notting Hill. A colourful neighbourhood with a market along Portobello Road, with a very nice atmosphere,  lots of yummie foods from all over the world and vintage stuff.

After our walk along Portobello Road, we got on the 9 bus, which is as good as an Hop on Hop off bus, but without the annoying tourists. We went to Covent Garden, which is a place we both love to go wandering a bit, have a drink in a pub, watch a show and sniff up the ambiance.
When it got dark we went back to the hotel to get ready for dinner and a nice surprise was waiting for us:

Bubbles and chocolate, and we still do not know how they knew it was our anniversary (1 year and 11 months)
After we went to dinner at the Sanderson Hotel Suka Restaurant, also starting to become a tradition.
Sunday was more rainy, so we slept in, took a nice breakfast at the hotel with the best buttermilk pancakes with cured bacon and Maple syrup. Mmmmm
We walked to Buckingham Palace and from there to Trafalgar Square and visited The National Gallery, and I saw the Sunflowers by Van Gogh for the 1st time in real life, very impressive.
Then a walk through 'Old Spitalfields Market' and a quick run to 'Harvey Nichols' to go choose my Valentine Gift, some Ray Ban sunglasses. Jeej!
 Thank you baby!
oh Yes, Bebeeke went with us
