Somebody once told me that 'patience' is the most important quality when raising children. Well, I can tell you that these words are turning out to be THE words I live by these days. Petti is so sweet, but also very strong-minded, challenging my patience more than once every day. I try to take a deep breath and say the words to myself: PATIENCE, my dear.
She will do everything at her own pace. Like today, we were waiting in line at the bank - and all of a sudden she let go of my hand and stood by herself for at least a minute and put 2 steps forward. The rest of the day, I tried to make her do it again - but no way, Jose. Only when she decides to do it and certainly not when I have my camera around.
But anyway, we are on the right track.
We keep practising.
